Product Description
Capture the spirit of the 1896 Klondike Gold rush with this special issue one ounce $200 gold coin struck in .99999 fine gold – the purest gold coin in the world. This is the 3rd coin in a series of 99.999% (five nines) pure gold bullion coins commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Klondike Gold Rush (1896-1899), an important chapter in Canadian history.
The reverse design combines two scenes: a depiction of a comparable locomotive that White Pass and Yukon Route Railway used to bring passengers and supplies into the Yukon in the early 1900s; and a view of prospectors using sluice boxes to recover placer gold. The coin also features a micro-engraved maple leaf laser mark in the coin’s field. In the center of the mark, visible under magnification, is the numeral “23”, denoting the coin’s year of issue.
A superb collectible at an investment bullion price! Each single coin comes protected inside a capsule embedded RCM certified assay card.
