Product Description
This striking, 1 troy ounce coin is the first in the 4-coin Birds of Prey series from the Royal Canadian Mint, and is composed of 99.99% fine silver. The reverse of this coin boasts a depiction of the regal Peregrine Falcon, a predator who usually dwells east of the Rockies and south of the tree line; some early indigenous North American cultures used the image of the Peregrine Falcon as a symbol of “aerial (celestial) power”. The obverse displays the iconic effigy of HRM Queen Elizabeth II, with the words “Elizabeth II 5 Dollars 2014” emblazoned around the rim; the level of detail in the engraving of this coin is a testament to the craftsmanship of the Royal Canadian Mint. With a 38mm diameter and a limited mintage of 1,000,000, this silver bullion coin is likely to become a sought-after collector’s item.
