This 1 ounce silver 2016 Cougar is the 1st instalment of the new Predator series from the Royal Canadian Mint, and is composed of 99.99% fine silver. The obverse displays the iconic effigy of HRM Queen Elizabeth II, with the words “Elizabeth II 5 Dollars 2016”. This coin features the new ‘pinwheel effect and privy maple leaf which is featured on all Maple Leaf coins from 2013. The level of detail in the engraving of this coin is a testament to the craftsmanship of the Royal Canadian Mint. With a 38mm diameter and a limited mintage of 1,000,000, this silver bullion coin is likely to become a very sought-after collector’s item.
