Description
The 2012 Australian Lunar Year of the Dragon 1/2 oz silver coin features a design drawn from the fifth animal in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Struck in .999 pure silver, the obverse of each coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse portrays a traditional Chinese dragon, along with the Chinese character for ‘dragon’ and a ‘Year of the Dragon’ inscription.
