Description
The Perth Mint’s Australian Lunar Series I celebrates the Year of the Rooster in 2005, the tenth animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac. Each coin has a fineness of 99.9% pure silver, and is protected in a plastic capsules. The reverse of each coin depicts a representation of a Rooster with a rising sun and the flower of a camellia. The Chinese character for ‘Rooster’ and the inscription "2 oz 999 Silver" also appear in the design.
