Description
The Perth Mint’s Australian Lunar Series I celebrates the Year of the Dog in 2006, the eleventh animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac. Each coin has a fineness of 99.9% pure silver, and is protected in a plastic capsules. The reverse of each coin depicts a dog is seen sitting on the ground as it looks right. The Chinese character for ‘dog’ and the inscription "2 oz 999 Silver" also appear in the design.
