Description
The Perth Mint’s Australian Lunar Series II celebrates the Year of the Horse in 2014, the seventh animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac. Each coin has a fineness of 99.9% pure silver, and is protected in a plastic capsules. The reverse of each coin depicts two horses standing within a stylised Chinese landscape.
The Chinese character for ‘horse’ and the inscription ‘Year of the Horse’ also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
