The Australian Perth Mint’s Lunar Bullion Coin Series III depicts the first animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese lunar calendar, the Mouse. Smart, witty, adaptable, kind, and resourceful are character traits said to be present in everyone born under the influence of the Mouse in 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020.

These 2020 Year of the Mouse Platinum coins are struck from 99.95% pure platinum in superior bullion quality for its investors, the coins mark the Year of the Mouse with a design celebrating this animal. The coin depicts a mouse among stalks of wheat. The Chinese character for mouse, the inscription ‘Mouse 2020’ and ‘Year of the Mouse’ appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mint mark. Shown on the obverse of the coin is the Jody Clark’s illustration of Queen Elizabeth II with a high degree of attention to detail. The effigy is encapsulated by her majesties title, the nation of origin, the weight and purity, and face value. These coins are individually sold in capsules to maintain its striking condition.
