This is the second fractional bald eagle silver coin produced by the RCM. The coin features precisely machined radial lines on both sides of the coin, as well as a micro-engraved maple leaf as security features.
The obverse features the Susanna Blunt effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, and the unusual denomination of two dollars.
The reverse showcases the largest of the birds of prey, a bald eagle. It is about to land at its nest and is carrying a salmon in its talons. Tree branches share the foreground with the eagle. All of the writing on the reverse runs around the rim of the coin in the area filled by the radial lines.
