Description
The Royal Canadian Mint has released this beautiful coin featuring one of the largest omnivorous bears in the world, the red-tailed hawk. This 1/2 oz silver coin is produced by the RCM in .9999 pure silver. The coin features precisely machined radial lines on both sides of the coin, as well as a micro-engraved maple leaf as security features.
The obverse features the Susanna Blunt effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, and the unusual denomination of two dollars. The reverse showcases a red tailed hawk about to land.
All of the writing on the reverse runs around the rim of the coin in the area filled by the radial lines.
