Description
These 2018 1/2 oz Year of the Dog gold coins are produced by Perth Mint and are issued in .9999 pure gold. 2018 celebrates the eleventh animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac calendar. The reverse of each coin depicts a chocolate Labrador Retriever standing on rocks a stylised pine tree in the background. The Chinese character for ‘dog’ and the inscription ‘Year of the Dog’ also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark. Shown on the obverse of the coin, is the Ian Rank-Broadley likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Each coin is individually capsulated to maintain its striking condition.
