Description
The Perth Mint’s Australian Lunar Series I celebrates the Year of the Snake in 2001, the sixth animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac. Each coin has a fineness of 99.9% pure silver, and is protected in a plastic capsules. The reverse of each coin depicts a representation of a snake curled with its newly laid eggs hatching . The Chinese character for ‘snake’ and the inscription "1 oz 999 Silver" also appear in the design. The unique aesthetic of this silver bullion coins makes it a favourite of both collectors and investors.
